All City/Metro Junior Summer Tennis Camp at Roosevelt Island

Metro Tennis Academy is beginning its 6th year of operation and has already become a household name among tennis players in the New York City Metropolitan area. Employing experienced and certified teaching pros that use the latest and most constructive drills and games, Metro Tennis is proud to join with All City Junior Tennis and introduce its Summer Tennis Camp at Roosevelt Island Racquet Club. The camp makes use of the club's 11 indoor, air conditioned, fast-dri har-tru courts and 6 deco-turf out door hard courts. With this many courts and a large staff, Metro Tennis is equipped to accommodate both beginning payers and advanced players. Emphasizing both proper technique and tennis strategy through drills, games, and match-play, Metro develops the young player physically and mentally.

For the campers who wish to do more than tennis, our camp also offers other sports and recreational activities in the afternoon. We have access to Firefighters Field which lies only at a three minute walk from the club. It is a state-of-the-art field for both soccer and baseball. We have access to basketball courts directly behind the club, and finally, campers also have the option of swimming in the Olympic size pool at the Indoor Sports Complex right next to the tennis club.

Summer Camp: Days/Times of Operation

Days: Week of June 14 to Week of Aug 23
Times (full-day camp): 9am to 4pm (full-day);
Times (half-day camp): 9am to 12n (morning half-day); 1pm to 4 (afternoon half-day)

Days of Camp closure: Fri, July 02 and Mon, July 05
